Muay - Thai (Thai Boxing) & Thaiboxercise

Muay Thai is currently one of the fastest growing Martial Arts & full contact sports in the world.
In Thailand, Muay Thai which translates as "Thai Boxing" is as popular as soccer in the U.K.
Thousands of camps around Thailand are teaching and training The Sport of Kings to eager students.
The ancient fighting art of Thailand developed from the military use of sword and spear during the wars of the 1600's.
Siam, as Thailand was then called, built up one the world's fiercest armies.

Unarmed combat started to develop during peace time as the soldiers
needed to test their fighting skills.
Challenge-fights between Thailand and its neighbours developed
into the modern sport & Martial Art that we now know and love.

Muay Thai allow the use of Elbows, Knees, Feet and Fists as weapons,
(known as the science of eight limbs) which makes it different from other Martial Arts.
The art is also considered as a beautiful form of fighting with hardly an equal in the World.
Those who take up the Art of Muay Thai need not have a figure like a body builder or a wrestler, because the weapons of Muay Thai can overcome a larger or heavier person if used correctly, according to the methods taught, set by the teachers of old.
Today Muay Thai is widely used as a Martial Art, a Self-Defence,
a Fitness Workout (Thaiboxercise), and a Sport.
